Theressa B. Strong, M.D.
Dr. Strong is a Board Certified ophthalmologist with more than twenty years of experience in advanced small incision cataract and intraocular lens implant surgery. She utilizes traditional as well as premium multifocal and astigmatism correcting implants. In addition to treatment of cataracts, she provides comprehensive ophthalmic care to patients of all ages, with special emphasis on glaucoma treatment and lasers, diabetic eye care, and problems of the aging eye. She believes in the importance of educating her patients about their ocular conditions. A native of Pittsburgh, she is repeatedly sited by her patients as a caring and compassionate physician who “talks to her patients”.

Dr. Strong is the current Chairman of Education for the Allied Health Personnel of the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society. She is a volunteer member of Eye Care America. She has served as the Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Clair Hospital, and has been active in the clinical instruction of ophthalmology residents. Dr. Strong has also consistently been awarded the Physician Recognition Award by the Pennsylvania Medical Society for excellence in continued medical education. She is a busy wife and mother of three children who enjoys gardening, travel and reading.
